Synth Riders is one of VR's top rhythm games, and the studio behind it says it’s spent nearly eight years being shaped by its community of players.
Kluge Interactive has released “Level UP,” a new progression system described as the biggest feature update in Synth Riders’ history. The update is designed to track player growth over time, celebrate long-term commitment, and provide a more structured path for new players.
The new progression system introduces ways for players to track and share their journey, including personal performance stats, leveling up over time, sharing milestones and comparing progress with friends, and showing off a player level in both single-player and multiplayer. Kluge says the goal isn’t to change how the game feels, but to create a foundation for what’s coming next.
The studio also says the system is intended to be more welcoming for newcomers by offering a more guided experience - helping new players understand where to start, what to aim for next, and how to get the most out of the game - while still keeping player choice intact.
