Among Us 3D, developed in partnership with Schell Games, active development is now shifting back to Innersloth.
Among Us 3D (formerly Among Us VR) is the first-person 3D version of Among Us, bringing tasks, sabotages, meetings, and betrayal into immersive VR-and-flatscreen crossplay
In a post on social media, the Among Us 3D team confirmed that active development is being handed off from Schell Games to Innersloth, the creators of the original Among Us, with the transition set for March 24, 2026.
Alongside the handoff, Innersloth says a “Definitive Edition” update arrives on March 24, bringing back favorites from past limited-time events—specifically calling out roles like Vigilante and Wraith—as permanent additions, while also setting up monthly cosmetic drops for the rest of 2026 and beyond.
Innersloth also notes that when the March 24 update goes live, communications and support will transfer to Innersloth’s helpdesk and community channels.
