Virtual Hunter brings realistic VR hunting to PS VR2 and Meta Quest this March

Virtual Hunter is a VR hunting simulator built around careful observation, tracking, and learning the environment - placing a focus on patience and preparation over fast reflexes. After its earlier release on PCVR via Steam in 2025, the game is now set to expand to new platforms.

Korpi Games’ Virtual Hunter launches on PlayStation VR2 and Meta Quest on March 25, 2026.

Set in a large open hunting ground with a full day–night cycle, Virtual Hunter features wildlife designed to react with realistic senses and behaviors. Animals listed include red deer, fallow deer, wild boar, and European hare, with hunts built around reading wind direction, tracking movement, and using tools like callers and hunting towers. The game also emphasizes replayability, with a fresh animal spawn for each hunt.

Key features

  • Large open hunting ground with a full day–night cycle
  • Realistic animal senses and behavior (sight, hearing, smell, eating, sleeping, and injured behavior)
  • Weapon handling across rifles, shotgun, pistol, and bow
  • Progression with callers, gear, and advanced tracking tools
  • Solo play or up to 6-player co-op for hunting, hiking, and planning
  • Extensive settings options for players
  • Trophy lodge and mounts

Virtual Hunter also includes a free-placement trophy lodge system, letting players place trophies around the lodge with different mount types and pose options. The game supports wall mounts, full-body mounts, and table mounts for small game, with multiple poses available per animal.

Virtual Hunter is developed by Korpi Games and published by VRKiwi, and is set to launch on PlayStation VR2 and Meta Quest on March 25, 2026.
