25 Game Reviews - Nov. and Dec. 2023

I have been keeping track of all the VR games I played this year to catalogue them in hopes that they may give fellow VR gamers some insights on new and interesting games to try out, or reasons to revisit older games that have had updates. I ended up playing 120 different VR games this year!

The 22 games from January to March are here

The 30 games from April to May are here

The 21 from June to August are here.

The 22 form September and October are here.

Some of the games listed below, I can see playing well into next year, others are not my cup of tea, but they may interest you enough to try them out. In either case, here are my quick thoughts on the 25 games I played from November through December 2023.

Another Fisherman’s Tale

Quest / Steam $24.99

My quick thoughts: A wonderful follow-up with fresh ideas and new puzzle types

From the store: Embark on a new mindbending adventure in Another Fisherman's Tale, the sequel to the award-winning A Fisherman's Tale. Immerse yourself in poetic storytelling as you explore new mindbending VR puzzle mechanics. Solve puzzles using your own body, detach and control your limbs, and find new attachments to progress. Discover the truth as you journey through beautiful and unique locations, brought to life by the makers of A Fisherman's Tale. Get ready for a captivating VR experience unlike any other.

My thoughts: At first I was hoping for more of the same as the first Fisherman's Tale was so fun and unique. Just more interesting puzzles, set in a confined, but well thought out environment was all I wanted, well what I got was completely new mechanics that only took a few minutes to get used to and a gem of an experience. While the game is on the short size - just a couple of hours, I’ll always forgive a game if it gives me something new, and this game does that in spades. A ton of fun with a unique puzzle mechanic are to be seen here. Add in a heartwarming story, and you have the makings of a wonderful experience. Highly recommended for all.

Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR

Quest $39.99

My quick thoughts: A truly technical achievement that shouldn’t be missed.

From the store: Embody three legendary Assassins in this all-new full-length Assassin’s Creed action-adventure game. Experience firsthand the thrill of parkour, the rush of combat, and the tension of stealth as you become the Assassin like never before. Uncover new memories from Ezio Auditore, Kassandra, and Connor as you work to stop Abstergo from gaining the power to manipulate people’s beliefs.

My thoughts: Assassin’s Creed Nexus delivers on all the promises that a fan of the AC series could want - fantastic characters you know, bustling environments, different ways to approach missions and the feeling of being an assassin. Playing on the Quest 3, I only experienced one level that had stuttering, and that was just for a little bit. For me, the game ran smoothly. The story was engagin and the levels impressive in density. Messing around with civilians, looking for treasures and climbing as high as you can, kept me busy outside of the main story for some time. I can’t say enough about how this really is a can’t miss game, especially with what they do from a mixed reality perspective on the Quest 3. No spoilers, but that ending was also fantastic. My highest recommendation.

Thumper

Quest / Steam $19.99 Steam Demo / Free

My quick thoughts: A great rhythm game to get in the zone and chill.

From the store: Thumper is rhythm violence: classic rhythm-action, blistering speed, and brutal physicality. You are a space beetle. Brave the hellish void and confront a maniacal giant head from the future.

My thoughts: Despite its minimal design, similar soundtrack throughout and few controls to learn, Thumper expertly ramps up the difficulty to a frenzied pace. I finally had to tap out at the final boss on the last level because I knew my skills just weren’t good enough. That being said, I could have gone back and played some even more difficult levels the “Plus mode” added. With later levels taking anywhere between 20-30 minutes, this is a robust rhythm game that at times had me hyper focused and in the zone feeling like a pro when I would finish a level with a great score rank. Even though I would be holding my breath through demanding jumps, turns and button presses, I still found the "zen" in the game. With the sequel coming out, now is a good time to check this unique game out.

Rooms of Realities

Quest $17.99 / Steam $19.99 / Steam Demo Free / Quest Demo Free

My quick thoughts: The premiere multiplayer escape room game on Quest.

From the store: Rooms of Realities offers unique and well-balanced puzzles to solve alone or with friends! Enter the mysterious levels full of logic, mechanics, precision, memory, cooperation, cipher, and skill-based challenges! And don’t worry if you get stuck - our smart, yet non-invasive hint system will help you get back on track.

My thoughts: The polish and thoughtfulness put into the puzzles in this game are second to only The Room. This is meant to be played as a multiplayer escape room game and it shines wonderfully. The puzzles can be difficult at times, but with two to four people studying the room, working the puzzle and collaborating, you end up getting through it. With nine levels across three worlds, you’ll finish in a few hours, but the time spent is memorable. With only a couple of disappointingly shorter levels, the experience was grand. Gather a few friends and make memories with this one. A real winner.

The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners - Chapter 2: Retribution

Quest / Steam $39.99

My quick thoughts: How is this game still so buggy?

From the store: Your tour through undead New Orleans continues in this  new chapter to the Tourist’s story in The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners. Hunted by the seemingly unstoppable Axeman and facing off against the Tower’s latest push for total dominance, discover what connects these new threats together before it’s too late. New faces, places, weapons and gear all await you on your journey to a final showdown for the city's fate. Do you have what it takes to survive it all?

My thoughts: I figured by waiting several months after release the game would be a bit more polished and refined. I ran into game breaking bugs, progression issues and annoying deaths. All that being said, I finished the game and actually had a decent time with it. As a big fan of the first game, this certainly leans a bit more into the gun play and less into the collection aspect. The big boss fight was interesting, and the final interaction made the villain not so black and white - which always makes for a deeper character and shows their unique motivations beyond being purely evil. There was a good amount of freedom to how you could approach a situation, and with what weapons. I wanted to like this game, and begrudgingly I did, but truly, it needs one more quality control pass before I could recommend it to any casual fans because you're going to be fighting your way through gritted teeth on this one.

NFL Pro Era

Quest $14.99

My quick thoughts: A solid experience that immersed me into the world of a quarterback.

From the store: NFL PRO ERA is the first fully licensed NFL virtual reality (VR) simulation game that lets players experience what it’s like to compete as the QB of their favorite NFL team. Coming this fall and utilizing real-time NFL game data, NFL PRO ERA is one of the most authentic and immersive first-person VR football games ever to come to market. Athletes will be able to step under center and see if they have what it takes to compete at the highest level and make the big plays.

My thoughts: I’m not a huge sports guy, but I ended up getting this with my Meta Quest+ monthly games subscription. I wasn’t expecting much, but again, if there’s a game that will make me feel something new and give me a new experience, I’m all for trying it out. The tutorial was a bit frustrating, but once I was on the field as the quarterback for the perennial bridesmaid Minnesota Vikings I was really immersed. There were plenty of movement and comfort options and I didn’t feel stymied by the choices of plays. Again, if you’re a football fan, you may want more freedom, but I felt like I had agency over my player and team. I could see myself firing this one up every so often and am curious to see what kind of improvements they have in store with the sequel.

No More Rainbows

Quest / Steam $19.99

My quick thoughts: An active game that will give you a work out - if you give it a chance.

From the store: No More Rainbows brings the fun of a classic platformer to VR. Use the intuitive locomotion mechanics to run, jump, and climb using only your hands. As the Beast, rampage through colorful worlds to reclaim your desecrated Underworld. Extend your experience with 3v3 multiplayer game mode to become the world’s most respected beast!

My thoughts: It took me playing the full 30 minute demo until this game “clicked” with me. The movement started feeling better once I spent some time with it, and the desire for collecting hard to reach objects only grew as I continued to spend time with the game. With consistent updates, worlds being added and a somewhat active multiplayer scene, I could easily see spending a dozen hours with this one. Try out the demo and see if the movement is for you or not.

Dead Man’s Quest

Quest Free

My quick thoughts: A short puzzler that's a bit rough around the edges.

From the store: Hey, you! Welcome to the island of Pequena! 🏝️ Dead Man's Quest is a narrative hand-tracking and puzzle short story and technical demonstration, lovingly wrapped in a light-hearted and quirky pirate theme 🏴‍☠️! With its carefree, comical, and visually exaggerated style, Dead Man's Quest features colorful characters, a perky parrot 🦜 and quippy narrated dialogue. With hand-tracking controls, you embody an... well, unusual character in a precarious situation as you wake up in a holding cell in the Fort. Did we mention you need to solve some puzzles to escape? The experience is not intended as a full game. We hope you enjoy it! Note that the experience is meant to be played in one go, no save system is currently in place. Controller support is optional as desired.

My thoughts: It is as advertised on the store - a short, hand-tracking puzzle game with no save system. It was cute, but the combination of not great hand tracking, and some movement and puzzle issues (having to wait for an animation to play before you moved), made this a bit more of a slog than I wanted. If you’re hard up for a puzzle game, you can give this a look, but I’d probably suggest skipping it.

Demeo Battles

Quest / Steam $19.99

My quick thoughts: Bite-sized Demeo battles with friends

From the store: Welcome to the arena! Demeo Battles is a competitive turn-based strategy game for 1-4 players, featuring: Turn-based Tactics - Battle your opponents in grid-based action combat across 10 maps tailored for intense PvP action— but don’t fall victim to “The Burn.” Monstrous Minions - Assemble an army of chaotic critters to fight alongside you — from rats and goblins to cave trolls to giant slimes — a rotating cast of 30+ creatures to pick from at launch, all with a mind of their own. Heroic Teamwork - Bring two champions to the battle in every match and leverage their synergies; control both heroes directly or partner with another player to defeat competitors cooperatively

My thoughts: With Demeo being such a hit, this extension of the brand felt like it couldn’t miss - and it does hit the right beats for sure. While I still have to put a bit more time into it, playing with friends has been entertaining, quick and easy to learn - especially if you’re coming from the base game. Nothing here is earth shattering, it’s certainly more of the same, but that’s not a bad thing. With friends this game shines, as the single player can get a bit rote having to unlock characters, but it is a necessary element to experience the full breadth of options. Thumbs up for sure.

Track Craft

Quest $10.99 / Demo Free

My quick thoughts: Micro Machines in mixed reality

From the store: Bend the laws of physics and shape the wildest racetracks ever imagined by turning any ordinary space into an adrenaline-pumping mixed-reality circuit. Let the race begin! Track Craft Features: 3 Unique Track Packs: Enjoy three specially curated bundles, each offering new cars, tracks, challenges, playful aesthetics, dynamic music, and fun surprises. Arcade Mode: Conquer over 50 pre-designed levels and unlock all car styles and features.

My thoughts: Some game really shine with the new mixed reality feature the Quest 3 offers, and this game is one of them. While there is a Micro Machines game coming out, this certainly felt like one. Taking the various cars with their unique physics around wacky and mind bending tracks in my own personal play space was a total joy. Chasing high scores and getting three stars on each level kept me busy for a while. While this game has several levels and more to come, what gives this game real legs is the user created content. The community is already coming up with fun challenges that will only get more complex and interesting as time goes on. Absolutely try out the free demo, but I think you’ll want to pick this one up as it’s a real showcase for mixed reality.

Big Ballers VR

Quest / Free

My quick thoughts: Adults need not apply

From the store: Rank up in the fastest growing VR sports game, BIG BALLERS VR. Play with up to 12 players and perform crazy windmill contact dunks in basketball, slug dingers in baseball, and clutch it with game-winning touchdown catches. Try our MR Fitness mode too.

My thoughts: The idea of so many games to play was exciting - baseball, football, basketball, plus a variety of activities. There was no shortage of players either, but… they were all kids. So if you’re an adult, I’d say give this a pass. Mechanically, when you try and cram so much into one game, nothing is really going to shine. It was all functional, and I’m sure if you put some time into one or two games, you could get good and figure out the intricacies, but for me, the juice wasn’t worth the squeeze.

Runner (Trial)

Quest $14.99 / Steam Release TBD

My quick thoughts: Style, substance and flair

From the store: RUNNER features visceral first-person arcade driving combat that embraces the unique visual style of late 1980’s prestige anime. Featuring high-speed combat, intense encounters and an incredible throwback soundtrack. When there's nowhere left to hide, the only way out is through.

My thoughts: This game looks cool, is fast and absolutely frenetic. While I only tried the demo, I found myself overwhelmed at the choices of weapons and could never figure out or remember how to swap between them - an absolutely essential skill when speeding down the freeway on your motorcycle with enemies on all sides. At the end of the day, I didn’t go beyond the trial, but I can’t deny the style this game has. If you like the trial, and want to put the time into mastering the controls, I could see this one being a fun time.

The Woozles

Quest / Free

My quick thoughts: Mixed reality Lemmings

From the store: Dive into the world of Mechanica, in an immersive augmented reality adventure where your living space transforms into a steampunk wonderland! Guide the Gizmoids, Professor Gearheart's creations, as they navigate challenges in your own home, now a mystical terrain. Augmented reality crafts your furniture into mountains, floors into lava pools, and windows into magical gateways.

My thoughts: A lot of games are popping up and featuring mixed reality. This free game checks the boxes of cute characters and mixed reality, but it didn’t keep my interest for that long. Getting your characters from A to B with different power ups and tools was fine, but I wasn’t compelled to continue on to see what other unlockables there were. If you have a Quest 3 and are hungry for some more mixed reality content, you can’t beat the price, but keep your expectations in check.

Neodori Infinity (Trial)

Quest / $9.99

My quick thoughts: Old school Outrun with fun unlockables

From the store: Choose your '80s ride and start the journey! Neodori Infinity is an high speed road trip inspired by retro arcade classics, with powerful electronic beats and incredible drifts.

  • Fast cars, lots of nitro and limitless drifting
  • Drive in first or third person, using the joypad or the virtual wheel
  • Race across the world against a colourful cast of rivals in the main campaign
  • Unlock additional game modes and campaigns with new challenges and more opponents
  • Lots of unlockable cars with different specs and skins
  • All original electronic soundtrack

My thoughts: This game caught my eye because of its great reviews. With a neat old school Outrun aesthetic, unlockable cars and a solid variety of modes of control your car and views, this had the right mix of elements to make this one a keeper. For me though, it just didn’t grab me. Granted, I only tried the trial, but it felt a bit too much of the same between races and the new cars didn’t excite me. I’m sure I’m in the minority here based on reviews, but I’d say if you like old school racing games, absolutely give this a try.

Real Carrom

Quest / Free

My quick thoughts: An 18th century board game comes to VR

From the store: "Welcome to 'Real Carrom', where tradition meets modern gaming. Engage in one of the most beloved board games with a virtual reality enhancement. Test your skills against our AI opponents. Whether you're playing solo, partnering with an AI, or challenging multiple AIs, there's a level for everyone. Experience multiplayer like never before. Play one-on-one, team up with a friend against two AIs, or embrace the challenge of player + AI versus player + AI matches.

My thoughts: I think this game could be a good time with friends. With a tutorial that is much longer than needed and very finicky, along with a pretty messy UI, there is a lot of room for improvements, but the physics and gameplay are what matter. I'm not sure how many people this may interest, but if you're in the mood for a physics based board game, this is a solid one to try.

HeliRaid

Quest / Free

My quick thoughts: I felt like an action hero in this over the top rail shooter

From the store: In the year 2096, an oppressive totalitarian Order tightens its grip on the once-vibrant city. Amidst this bleak dystopia, a brave squad of Hellcats emerges, dedicated to dismantling the ruthless dictatorship and restoring freedom to the people. Become the valiant helicopter gunner aboard the Stingray, their deadly and cutting-edge gunship helicopter. High-Octane Combat: Experience non-stop action as you unleash a hail of bullets from the helicopter's door gun, mowing down hordes of enemies below. Navigate through immersive levels filled with thrilling story-driven moments.

My thoughts: If you enjoy rail shooter games, this is really a must play. With the free price of entry, it’s worth a go for sure. I was in the action immediately, flying in a helicopter and shooting bad guys. I failed a few times and was happy to start again. While the experience isn’t very long, you can support the devs with the development of the full game by buying a better mini gun, but I thought the price was a bit too high for what you got. I’m all in for the full version if it every materializes. This one is tons of fun. If this scratches your itch, try out Operation Warcade, that has a lot of similar vibes.

Never Down - Only Up (Demo)

Quest $7.99 /  Demo Free

My quick thoughts: I hope you’re not scared of heights

From the store: In this addictive game you have to climb up by jumping and pushing off the floor. You need to be fast and agile to get to the top. The game offers many levels of varying difficulty that will allow you to upgrade your skills and become a real climbing master. In addition, the game has beautiful graphics and sound that will immerse you in the exciting world of the game. In this game you will test your climbing skills. You must jump and push off the floor to get to the top. The game offers many levels of varying difficulty that will allow you to upgrade your skills and become a real climbing master.

My thoughts: I only played the demo of this, and it was before I put in my time with No More Rainbows. What Rainbows showed me was how fun this type of movement could be - pulling yourself along the ground with your hands and arms doing all the work. It didn’t click with me in this demo, but now that I’ve played Rainbows, I could see myself giving it another go. Conversely, Rainbows may just scratch that itch enough that I don’t revisit it. At the price point though, it’s very fair for what you get - block climbing to new heights in a variety of different levels. If you like this kind of movement, for sure give the demo a try.

Pickleball One

Quest / $24.99

My quick thoughts: A solid way to play the hottest game in town

From the store: Dive into America's fastest-growing sport while making new friends! Master Pickleball anytime, anywhere, whether as a single player or with up to 4 participants. Beyond just singles and doubles, this app includes in-depth fitness and training modules, that will elevate both your physical and virtual gameplay. Experience a mixed-reality setting for immersive wall drills, practice sessions, and workouts.

My thoughts: I’m not a huge pickleball fan, I much prefer full on tennis, but some friends bought this game and of course, all games are better with friends, and this was no exception. With solid physics, training and a variety of options and comfort to choose from, this is by all accounts a solid pickleball game. I wish I had more to say, but it’s as advertised. I don’t think it’s going to win over new players, and with Racket Club out, I wonder if that may pull attention away from this, but it’s a solid game nonetheless.

MiRacle Pool

Quest / Free

My quick thoughts: Mixed reality pool - for free

From the store: Have you ever dreamed about having a pool table in your home? Now you can! Thanks to Mixed Reality and Miracle Pool, you can place a virtual Pool Table in your home, walk around, and shoot some balls. You can also play against friends or against other online players. This is a room-scale-only experience and you must have plenty of space to use it. The minimum recommended play area is 3m x 4m (10 feet x 13 feet)

My thoughts: With so many pool games out there, it’s hard to break through the noise and rise to the top. What I initially thought was a quick pool game slapped together with mixed reality, pleasantly surprised me with solid physics, well thought out movement of the table and some fun features. If you still have room for another VR pool game, this is one of the best - even at this early of a stage.

Gazzers (Trial)

Quest / Steam $14.99

My quick thoughts: An over the top on-rails shooter with a heavy grinding loop

From the store: The craziest VR shooter is here! Set in a cartoon world, you shoot, block and dodge your way through hordes of hilarious enemies that drive and fly around in their clunky vehicles. Steal their scrap, upgrade your skills and build a weapon so insane it just might work! How far will you get? Built exclusively for VR, GAZZLERS will keep you on your toes as you’ll have to physically aim, block and dodge your way through waves of bullet hell goodness!

My thoughts: I always appreciate a game with style and charm, and this has it in spades. With silly characters, a lot of style and a unique environment, I can see this grabbing a lot of people. In my time with the trial, I didn’t get into the rhythm enough to warrant a purchase. Right away after my first attempt, I could see the gameplay loop of heavy grinding to chase high scores and unlock new weapons just wasn’t going to be for me. A couple of friends were totally into it and loved the grind. Give it a go and see what you think.

Space Salvage (Demo)

Quest / Steam $24.99 Demo / Free

My quick thoughts: An iron stomach is needed for this sci-fi adventure

From the store: Become a space pilot and embark on a thrilling interstellar adventure with Space Salvage—an exhilarating fusion of dark comedy and 80's sci-fi vibes, brought to life in a captivating VR universe. Dive into the cosmos as you pilot your space-pod through dozens of stunningly rendered crash sites across the galaxy. Space Salvage isn't your average VR game; it's a thrilling journey through a retro-futuristic universe with an unfolding story where choices matter. Are you ready to conquer the stars and become the ultimate space salvager?

My thoughts: I’m a huge sci-fi fan, and the idea of piloting a ship and facing off against enemies in space sounded right up my alley. Some fiddly controls and a bit of unclear navigation - along with instant deaths spoiled my fun though. It also didn't help that I got killed a few times in this generous demo. Add to that the slight motion sickness that may occur with the amount of freedom you have with your ship and this game is starting to get even more niche to those players who can tolerate it. Not for me, but again, why not give the demo a play if you like the idea of ship salvage and space battles.

Table of Tales: The Crooked Crown

Quest / Steam $19.99

My quick thoughts: Single player Demeo with a good story

From the store: Embark on a single-player narrative-driven campaign featuring a fully-voiced Dungeon Master companion, who appears as a mechanical talking bird called Arbitrix. Guide a party of four scoundrels through a captivating story that is shaped by important world-changing choices! High Replayability. No one playthrough is the same as another based on critical choices you make on the way, including throwing your scoundrels overboard! Use powerful magic, battle, charm or sneak your way through more than 24 enthralling encounters.

My thoughts: I saw this billed as single player Demeo with a story, and it did not disappoint. With charm, different endings and a solid game mechanic, I thoroughly enjoyed my time with this game. The simplicity and familiar game play was easy to pick up and enjoy. This one is a solid recommendation from me for something a bit lighter that scratches that Demeo itch.

Richie’s Plank

Quest / Steam $14.99

My quick thoughts: Yes, I’m late to the party on this one.

From the store: Richie's Plank Experience was designed to invoke the strongest possible emotions in the shortest possible time. Test your fear of heights or entertain your friends and family as they walk the plank 80 stories high and experience terrifying real fear, knees weak and palms sweaty! Have you ever wondered what it feels like to fly? With our Hero Academy, you can fly through the city like a superhero, take out rockets or fight fires.

My thoughts: I actually played this at a VR arcade at the Mall of America many years ago before I owned a headset. Instead of a board to walk on though, it was a squishy beam made of foam. So not only was I contending with being high up (virtually) and combating the sense of height, but I actually had to walk on this foam balance beam as well and contend with an extra - unnecessary layer of complexity. I ended up losing my footing on the squishy foam on the way back to the elevator and totally twisted my ankle. I was left with a sour taste in my mouth - not at the game, but at the idiocy of adding this foam beam to an already intense experience.

I figured it was time to try it again, now, years later now that I had a good amount of VR experience and a more controlled environment to try it in. Despite being a VR vet, the game still gave me a great sense of being high up, and the spider mode gave me chills. I didn’t prat fall like all those youtube videos you see, and did try jumping off the plank, and it absolutely still delivers on that sense of immersion. The mixed reality, bonus DLC and extra mini games still don’t justify the price tag in my mind though.

Additionally, I personally wouldn’t give this to any new VR player who I want to introduce to VR. I’d much rather give them a relaxing and fun experience than a terrifying one. All that being said, it’s a one of a kind experience, but I’m not sure who exactly it’s for, especially at that price tag for the amount of play you get out of it.

PianoVision

Quest $9.99

My quick thoughts: A novel take on learning the piano

From the store: Become a PianoVisionary with the world's premiere VR Music Teacher. PianoVision accelerates your piano learning using Mixed Reality and hand tracking. Connect a MIDI keyboard or play on a flat surface with the Virtual Piano!

My thoughts: I bought this game when it was out on app lab and just tried the virtual keyboard with my Quest 2 for a few minutes. It was serviceable, grainy and a neat concept. Fast forward to many updates later, on the Quest 3 and with a midi connected keyboard and it's night and day. I'm pretty hard pressed to believe you'd learn how to play the piano with this app, and the description even says it's a learning accelerant, not a teacher, but you could sure have fun tinkering around. I know I did, but certainly felt lost with hand placement and technique as a person literally starting from zero. With over 1400 songs to choose form I wanted to add my own video game midi songs to play. After loading in a few classic tunes, I was quite surprised to see how advanced they were, so it was back to Jingle Bells and Mary had a Little Lamb for me. As it stands, it a novelty for newcomers, but for those with some skill, I could see it being quite helpful. I liked the Guitar Hero aspect of it and will probably tinker around with it a bit from time to time.

Racket Club

Quest / Steam $24.99

My quick thoughts: A fun and fresh idea on paddle sports

From the store: If you’re a fan of racket sports - from tennis to pickleball or padel to ping-pong - Racket Club is for you! Hit the courts in this all-new sport created for VR that combines the best of these sports and allows players to immerse themselves into a fully-social experience of a real racket club.

My thoughts: As with any physics based game, a lot of the fun is going to come down to how "good" and accurate the physics feel. If I put spin on a ball, will it react accordingly? Eleven Table Tennis, Bocce Time! and Walkabout Mini Golf are just a few games that excel in this area. Racket Club, with it's unique play space and spot on physics also has the potential for the same kind of longevity these games have. My biggest complaint is the space requirements. Despite having the benefit of mixed reality to avoid smashing into a wall or tv, you still need a solid amount of space to really get into the game and go after some of those tough shots your opponent can send you. Overall, this is a great new pickleball/tennis hybrid game that I can easily recommend. With a growing community that seems quite friendly, I can easily recommend this if you have the space.
